Because the risk is a far greater gift than the stagnant. Its flirtatious and cheeky - inviting us to an intimate and vulnerable foreplay as initiation for bewildering encounters.
As a native Arabic speaker, I would like to evoke the word رزق (Rizq) here. Not only are the two etymologically and phonetically related but, wonderfully, رزق means sustenance! The grand, abundant, miraculous sustenance lies in the literal risk, my friends. That is what we are here to do: have risky conversations that shift paradigms; risk all that we know to crack open new tectonic plates; to risk annihilation only to be re-born as a leaky, parasitic nourishment for our worlds now and tomorrow. We need conversations and words that risk it all for a return home.
The Shapeshifting Play is therefore, a risky podcast of incantations, inquiries, and experiments in becoming. Each episode unfolds as an improvisational act (like in a thearical play) between artists, thinkers, and practitioners across disciplines. Those who dare to risk unknowing in pursuit of awe.
Rather than interviews, these are conversations-as-portals: intimate, playful, jazzy and disobedient. The guests of this podcast are healers and every conversation is an act of medicine for this cosmic play we are delighted to be a part of. We explore the thresholds of philosophy, ecology, theology, physics, economics, technology, science & consciousness.
Every exchange is an act of shapeshifting: a dance in how we might think, feel, and create differently in times of collective transformation.
Through this series, Les Shapeshifters invites listeners into the theater of risk & play: where language breaks open, where ideas tremble, and where new myths of coexistence begin to take form.
Our first season unfolds across the twelve astrological houses - twelve acts, twelve conversations tracing the archetypal monologues of each house, from communication, to ancestry, to relationships and purpose. Each house becomes a stage where different disciplines converge, inviting guests to share the wisdoms of their field, experience and extend an ode of inspiration to the listener.
